Nano Silk is an amazing tying thread, extremely strong and fine it gives confidence to fly tyers and avoids build up. Nano silk MUST be used with ceramic bobbin holders.
 
Although strong its fine fibres are almost weightless. 1kg of Nano Silk 50D will stretch over 50 miles or 85km. Loved by fly tyers, it is also used in the medical sector, for kites, archery, in tv and even in trials for NASA
 
Nano Silk strength means it can cut through fine or hollow fibres or materials like foam, however if used flat or untwisted and lay 2 lose wraps before tightening down it is easy to avoid cutting materials. Finally make sure to use old scissors a craft blade or a sliding action with your scissors as cutting is a sure way to blunten your scissor blades because of its astounding strength
